BULLETIN: THIS IS THE BIG NEWS DAY!!!

Today about 1:00 President Biden will sign to make the Frances Perkins ancestral homestead in Newcastle, Maine, a NATIONAL MONUMENT! HURRAY!!!

My partner and I are among the invited guests here in Washington DC for the signing at the Frances Perkins Department of Labor building, with a reception to follow, put on by the National Parks and Conservation Commission.

This is HUGE, and what the Frances Perkins Center has been working toward for months.

Finally, people will be aware of Frances, and the huge debt of gratitude every American owes her. We're very honored to be among the dozen or so invited guests from Maine.

That's thanks to Giovanna Lockhart, the phenomenal Executive Director of the FPC, and our dear friend Tomlin Perkins Coggeshall, Frances's only living descendant, that we are here to witness and celebrated this historic occasion.

Possibly the signing will be televised, or at least you'll be able to see it replayed on the evening news, especially in Maine! Probably my friend Don Carrigan will report it on WCSH.

I've had to restock my supply of Frances Perkins, Champion of American Workers!
